After Twitter users erupted in fury over a picture of Right Twix and Left Twix sitting in shameful harmony at a football game, Left Twix is further angering fans by stubbornly defending the ugly incident.
LT acknowledged that the pictures looked bad, admitting, “We know we are as different as a custodian and a janitor. A mortician and an undertaker.
“A Democrat and a Republican.”
She then attempted to excuse the scandalous behavior by erroneously claiming that it was “okay that we’re all different,” and even that it was wise to “be kind to people who don’t think the way you do.” And as if that were not enough, she finished by holding up the friendship between the Obamas and the Bushes as a sort of shining example of what might be possible between mature adults.
The Twitter mob was having none of it, however.
“Obama just engaged in endless foreign wars and expanded our bloated government, whereas Bush expanded our bloated government and engaged in endless foreign wars,” raged one Tweet. “The two sides have nothing in common and shouldn’t be friends either.”
