World relieved as Trump Twitter Monitoring Committee appointed

In a move certain to soothe virtually anybody with internet access, Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham has appointed a team of social media experts to clear any presidential Tweets before their release.

Grisham explained emphatically, “President Trump obviously doesn’t need any oversight of his Twitter activity. But in an effort to lessen his heavy workload, I thought it best to have somebody just do a quick check of any Tweets before they see the harsh light of day.”

She went on, “And then I asked myself, why not have a few people on this project? Maybe like ten? Or fifty? Just to make sure the president isn’t burdened with proofreading anything he writes. Or being tasked with thinking before he writes it in the first place.”

Asked what finally prompted her to take this action, Grisham emphasized, “It didn’t have anything to do with his Tweet about apostrophes and hyphens and Liddle’-:. Schiff (clearly said with an apostrophe hyphen semicolon period), that’s for sure. Because that was a really good Tweet, just like all of the previous ones. This is just a precautionary measure for any future online outbursts that could potentially make him sound a little unhinged. In the future.”
