New York Times reveals Trump used Sharpie to alter dog photo

A totally convincing picture of President Donald Trump awarding a canine an equally convincing medal has been outed as a fake. And once again, Trump seems to have used his beloved Sharpie to pull off the stunt.

And once again, The New York Times was the first to sniff out the evidence.

When Trump released a touching photo of himself reverently draping a Purple Paw around the neck of a brave pooch, the nation collectively melted. But an eagle-eyed New York Times writer immediately noticed that the picture of Trump resembled a 2017 AP photo, that the dog picture was nothing but a black Sharpie outline, and that a dialogue bubble reading “Ruff!” over the dog’s head did not appear to be real.

After the bombshell revelation, several people came forward to point out that the Purple Paw Award does not exist and that literally nobody except New York Times writers believed the photo to be legitimate. The writers could not be reached for comment, however, as they were busy debunking a convincing photo from respected news site The Babylon Bee.
